Jamaica is an island country of the West Indies. It is the third-largest island in the Caribbean Sea, after Cuba and Hispaniola. Jamaica is about 146 miles (235 km) long and varies from 22 to 51 miles (35 to 82 km) wide. It is situated some 100 miles (160 km) west of Haiti, 90 miles (150 km) south of Cuba, and 191 kilometers (119 mi) west of Hispaniola (the island containing the countries of Haiti and the Dominican Republic); the British Overseas Territory of the Cayman Islands lies some 215 kilometers (134 mi) to the North-west. Jamaica's economy relies heavily on tourism, becoming one of the country's largest foreign exchange sources.
We are proud to have worked in Jamaica since 2015, partnering with several NGOs countrywide to develop the next generation of leaders.
