On Thursday, June 10th, Mr. Muntasser spoke with Philip McDaniel, the international affairs and national security expert for Representative Tom Malinowski (D-NJ). Mr. Muntasser highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in Libya’s upcoming elections in December and noted that the on-the-ground political situation poses significant challenges to free and fair elections. Despite these challenges, Mr. Muntasser noted that the Incremental Elections model could address the challenges facing free and fair elections in Libya.
